HOW ARE YOU DIFFERENT FROM A REGULAR GYM TRAINER?

I have worked in gyms. I get it. It's a convenient way to train clients in an environment with a wide variety of training options. However, you are very often limited by the gym's rules as to how you can train your clients. I offer studio training (small, intimate gym environment), as well as virtual and in-home training (convenient for you!). All options offer different advantages over the gym setting. WHAT IS A HEALTH COACH? HOW ARE YOU DIFFERENT FROM A THERAPIST?

Health coaching is a partnership. As we begin our work together, we will explore the areas of your life that you feel need attention in order for you to make the most out of each and every day. I will work with you to bring out your natural strengths and help you learn to apply them in ways that help to get you closer to the end result that you are striving for. It is natural for your needs to ebb and flow as we work through this process, so it is imperative that we keep open lines of communication. If something we are working on doesn’t feel quite right, please be sure to let me know. Our sessions are for your benefit, and you know yourself better than anyone. I am happy to make adjustments as needed along the way to ensure we continue to head in a productive direction based on your needs.

Health coaches are very different from therapists. The main goal of health coaching is to guide you through the process of developing healthy habits that support helping you to reach your end goals, whatever they may be. Therapy has more of a focus on mental health and identifying patterns from your past and present that may be affecting the direction that your life is heading. 

CAN I USE MY HSA/FSA FUNDS FOR YOUR SERVICES?

I have many clients who have accessed these funds for my services. The most common requirement is a letter of medical necessity from a health care provider. This could be a primary care physician, specialist or mental health practitioner. It's certainly worth looking into and a great way to use the benefit!

DO YOU CHARGE EXTRA FOR NUTRITIONAL GUIDANCE AND A DIET PLAN?

I am not a dietician, so prescribing a specific diet is out of my scope of practice. However, I am a certified integrative nutrition coach. This means I can guide you to make better choices that will nourish your body and mind. These services are additional and pricing is explained on my services page.

WHAT TYPES OF HOME FITNESS EQUIPMENT DO YOU RECOMMEND?

This is completely dependent on your goals and current fitness levels. If you decide to enter into a program, I will be happy to make recommendations!

HOW WILL I KNOW WHAT TO DO BEFORE MY CONSULTATION AND FIRST SESSIONS?

I will be in contact every step of the way! You will have some forms to fill out prior to your consultation. They are conveniently located right here on my website!
